Head Vs Heart

Warren Buffet Once Said :

"Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks."

A rather crude principle to apply to your personal life... But if you ask me honestly sometimes using your head over the heart is the only logical move unless one has suicidal tendencies..

Our Hearts definitely do have a role to play in our lives... But application need not be in all areas or situations...

Each one of us fights this internal battle everyday of our lives.. Where the thoughts that form a decision or an action tend to flow from two distinct sources. Finding the right mix leading to an end result is a rather complex process which may vary based on individual personality or ever volatile human nature.

its a very rare sight that i see a well balanced decision or an action taken by myself or people around me.. After all human stupidity knows no bounds :)

For years i tired to find the right balance but i either manged to get ahead of myself with my head or behind myself with my heart..

Sure i made mistakes ... But with every mistake i picked up the pieces and learnt some painful lessons..... strive for the balance don't expect it ... expectations sometimes can make one wait a lifetime...

Leading a life using ones head all the time ... Usually lands one up in a singled out self centered world of your own.

Leading a life using ones heart all the time ... Usually lands one up down in the dungeons somewhere with plenty of rose petals showered around you.

Maybe just applying one flow of thoughts to a particular area or situation seems the way to go ...

My heart tells me .. Umm i crave a smoke ...

My head tells me .. smoking kills son ..

i'll take my chances with my head this time ...

A Fair Deal

Sure you would get a steal in the next sale hitting the retail chains around your city ... But the thought ever struck you.....Its a tough world if one is looking for a fair deal in life...

Why is it tough or getting tougher as the years pass by.. i have been asking myself that question for a few weeks now .. a rather unusual thought which can be overcome with the simple application of ignorance .. but somehow this is one aspect which i cannot ignore as it has a direct co-relation to the people who define my life...

Last night i put on my thinking hat on... Thinking about friends , family , business associates and loved ones...

So what are my chances of finding a fair deal with the groups outlined above ?

Honestly the chances are slim to none to expect a fair deal with all groups...

So Where could find a fair deal ?.. The answer really lies within me ...

It depends on how good of a judge i am of the individuals who form these groups and my actions which may increase or decrease my distance from them.

One can't control an another individuals outlook or priorities in life... which may or may not be a constant with the passing of time.. But one can definitely keep ones eyes open and see the color of the sky for what it is ... Not for what it was or will be ..

Why the sky ? Well ask 10 random people "what is the color of the sky ?" at night and maybe you will have your answers...

Choices we make or made set the stage for the deals we get out of life....

Ignorance we apply also sets a stage for the deals we get out of life ...

So are you getting a fair deal ? Food for Thought .. ;)
